Melia has been with Legal Sneakers since 2019 practicing in the areas of corporate, commercial and employment law. Her education includes an undergraduate degree in Economics and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. After testing the Toronto waters she returned to her beloved Alberta, articling at Blake, Cassels and Graydon LLP, and has enjoyed being immersed in the entrepreneurial culture of the West ever since. Her years of working with startups have given her a strong grasp on the corporate and commercial needs of early stage businesses and entrepreneurs. Outside of the law, Melia enjoys cabinetmaking, painting, knitwear design and surfing.
